Born and bred in Perth's thriving Drum & Bass scene - Reece Mercadante AKA Dead Zodiac seeks to take you through a sonic journey of cutting edge - forward thinking bass music. His music has been released on labels such as Kill Tomorrow, Santoku Records, Lifestyle Music, Close 2 Death Records, Formation UK as well as his own label ProtoCode and has seen support from artists such Ed Rush, Koven, State Of Mind, The Clamps, Mizo, Noisia, Black Sun Empire, DJ SS, Zombie Cats, Volatile Cycle, Barbarix and Logam.

His notoriously energetic DJ performances have seen him win Best Drum & Bass DJ at the Perth Dance Music Awards in 2012 and 2013. This 11 Year DJ Veteran has supported some of the biggest names in the game such as Andy C, Friction, Noisia, Calyx & Teebee Phace, State Of Mind, Black Sun Empire, Audio, Ed Rush & Optical, The Upbeats, Teddy Killerz, Break, Joe Ford, DC Breaks, Loadstar and many others.

He now sees him self as co founder of Drum & Bass label ProtoCode - a label specialising in forward thinking cutting edge bass music, which he runs along side Esym & Against Odds.
