Embellished in the rouge livery of their rogue riders, their hydrogen-fueled engines ran red hot as the duo rocketed across the empty lanes, weaving through the suggestions of space that would otherwise constrict such freeform movement.

Beyond the city’s edge unfolded a vast plain, stretching far beyond their frontier homeland and into the vast uncharted expanses of the newly discovered world upon which it had been founded. Deftly maneuvering their wheeled craft under the dim light of the rising sun, the pair utilized the banking curves of the city’s beltway to launch themselves skyward, piercing the forcefield barrier that kept alien life out and their own kind penned in. As their wheels impacted on the dew-touched dirt that surfaced the expanse before them, they carved deep ruts, flinging muddy debris back towards the city that they had now escaped. Howling with joy over the commlinks that connected their full-face helms, the pair raced onwards, CHASING THE HORIZON and all that lay beyond.
